MacDougall, MacDougall and MacTier Celebrate 150 Years with a Website Upgrade

Taking their website to the next level, 3Macs introduces advisor profiles, research alerts, and online tools, with an expanded IgnitionWeb platform and a fresh front-end redesign.

To commemorate their 150-year anniversary, HTC launched an updated website for 3Macs today; building on the solid features of their former site. 3Macs.com continues to offer clients the tools and information they need to help them make sound investment choices, with new value-added resources to enhance their online experience.

“This website is primarily geared to inform clients and promote 3Macs services,” says Freddy Davy, Account Director at HTC. “For this kind of project, consistently updated content is crucial—it keeps people coming back to the site and keeps the 3Macs brand top of mind when they think of investing.” A custom IgnitionWeb module was created to manage the multiple daily research alerts posted on the site, while promotional banners highlight features and news, to encourage deep linking throughout different sections.

Designed to be sophisticated and sleek, the new look of the website brings 3Macs up to date with current Web standards. Considerable work went into the Advisors Manager to minimize the administrative tasks of publishing and managing individual advisor profile pages and directory listings. Brokers can securely update their own information and biographies, while administrators can monitor content discreetly on the back-end. Search engine optimization will enhance the online visibility of the 3Macs advisors, attracting a wider audience and bringing more business through their five Canadian offices.

“With an informational website like 3Macs.com,” adds Davy, “you’ve got a few moments of someone’s attention, so you want to make sure they find it useful—that they can easily find the answers to the questions they came to the site asking.”  RSS feeds for 3Macs news and research alerts also enable clients to receive updates effortlessly, and all functions are still easily maintained behind the scenes through the IgnitionWeb platform. “3Macs is now a fully-charged investment resource with a wealth of tools and information” states Davy, “and that’s what’s going to keep people coming back to their site.”
